My name is Deeya Herring and I received a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences from Auburn University in 1995. I have worked in a variety of settings, including the nursing home setting for 1 year, schools K-12 for 29 years, local clinics for a total of 14 years including Progress Center for 8 of those years. I am passionate about helping children succeed in all settings! Throughout the years I have learned that play, drill, laughter and smiles are the best tools in speech therapy. Treatments include articulation disorders, stuttering, receptive/expressive language disorders, social skills, and autism spectrum disorders. I enjoy working closely with clients and their families to assist with carryover skills. I am married to my high school sweet heart and we have 3 adult children, two precious grandchildren, and two outgoing grand dogs.
