Carla Slowley is a certified member of the Speech and Hearing Association of Alabama (SHAA) and is licensed to practice speech language pathology in the state of Alabama. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences with a minor in Deaf Studies from the University of Montevallo in 2003 and is currently continuing a Master’s degree in Special Education at the University of West Alabama. Carla has practiced speech therapy in a number of settings to include public schools, private schools, and local clinics. Most of her experience has been in the clinic setting where she has worked extensively with toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. She specializes in the treatment of a variety of communication disorders to include receptive/expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, stuttering, autism spectrum disorders, social skills, and other developmental delays. Carla works closely with individuals and their families to facilitate effective communication skill development and implementation.
